Common questions

What are your hours?

We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, and Saturday 9am to 2pm. We are closed Sunday and on holidays. Call (703) 680-4646 if you have questions about a specific day.

Where are you located?

The hospital is at 13183 Centerpointe Way, Woodbridge, VA 22193, in the Hillendale Center shopping center in Dale City. A map is on the directions page.

Do you see cats?

Yes. Hillendale Animal Hospital cares for both dogs and cats.

Do you see birds, rabbits, or other small pets?

The hospital sees dogs and cats only. Call (703) 680-4646 if you have questions about where to take another kind of pet.

How do I book an appointment?

Call (703) 680-4646 or fill out the appointment request form on this website. Staff will get back to you to set a time.

Can I text you?

Yes. The text line is (571) 503-0242. For anything urgent, call (703) 680-4646 instead.

What should I bring to the first visit?

Bring past medical and vaccine records, a list of any medicines and food your pet takes, and your questions. Keep dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier.

Do I need my pet's old records?

They help a lot. Records show past vaccines, test results, and health problems, so ask your previous vet to send them before your visit or bring copies.

What if my pet gets sick when you are closed?

Call the nearest 24-hour emergency animal hospital right away and head there. The after-hours page lists warning signs and poison control numbers.

Do you take dental x-rays?

Yes. Digital dental x-rays are part of dental care here, because much of each tooth sits below the gumline where it cannot be seen.

Do you do surgery?

Yes. The hospital performs spay and neuter surgery, mass removals, and abdominal procedures. Call (703) 680-4646 to ask about a specific procedure.

How do prescription refills work?

Call (703) 680-4646 or text (571) 503-0242 a few days before your pet runs out. The doctor reviews each refill, and a recent exam may be needed before a prescription can be renewed.

Do you offer microchipping?

Yes. A microchip is placed under the skin with a needle, much like a vaccine. Remember to register the chip with your current contact details.

Do you offer boarding or grooming?

Those are not services listed on this website. Please call (703) 680-4646 to ask.

How can I pay for my visit?

Call (703) 680-4646 to ask about payment and to request an estimate before treatment.
